Are somebody so stupid that he or she thinks that Net Art is about showing paintings on Internet?

Why is it so easy for Net Art projects to become boring?

- Net Art has a division between :
1. "nerd projects"
2. social and political projects with an aim to communicate

What is the difference between Net Art and Software Art?

- Link to software art: www.m-cult.org/read;me

Are somebody interested in making Net Art today?

Are there any Net Art Museums?

Are Netbased art-projects only for nerds?

www.artnode.org

What is Net Art?

- It's not art but media that is interesting.

- Art is more interesting than the media, but usually you have to experience a lot of heavy equipment in exhibitions.

- Good Net Art projects are often borderline issues pendling between political and social oriented strategies and art.

examples: world utopian championship.
Or the Royal Sims from teks.no.

- The later is computergame oriented but, uses the net for distributing downloads. In my opionion this is Net Art.

- The future of Netbased art lies in adapting to the innovations of wireless technology.

(link to isea 2004 call)
example: talk politics with Ingmar www.publicopinion.nu

Good art projects are often political and social oriented.

Good art projects are also aestetically interesting, but they don't necessary have to have a smart and cool design as a repetition of the commercial aestetics.

geroic Net Art projects: etoys!!!

How accessible is really Net Art?

The unaccessibility of Net Art is the guarantee for exclusivity?? !

Electronic arts should be vulgar and dirty?

Who cares about Net Art?

Net Art projects relating to the sex industry always gets a lot of attention.
example dorinel marsks piece

Have a look at asci video? nerdish and fun.

- Lenin would like IKEA but not the WEB. IKEA is the web inverted.

- Net Art relates to the fluxus-movement and also Mail Art and Fax Art, and to some degree the thinkers around community based on radio and television that was a part of the early Video Art movement.

Show me some interesting Web Art.

- Look at open gate.

- Link unitednet-works.org
A compilation of real folders, a network, a platform.

Why is Net Art or Media Art so private?

Net Art and Web Art is often "private" because of the way it's produced and consumed. The room of the Internet is a semipublic space.

- We also share a common time although we are in different spaces. Social relationships are stretched across of the earth.

- One distinct element of Net Art is the link to the hackers culture, also the hackers mythology.

example: look for 0101010101010101010110 org from Italy.

- Official Net Art U find at www.odin.dep.no
