Well, today is not my consultation appt. like the java script says, but yesterday was! It went really well, I had some more x-rays done and pictures taken at first and then my appt with the doctor. He seems very nice, it was kind of embarrassing though b/c he had 3 students following him around so they were there during my appt. He said that they will go ahead and set my surgery date, he said late summer or early fall!! YAY!!! He said maybe even earlier, I am so glad!! It's hard to believe this will be done before my 27th birthday. As soon as I get the date I will start the countdown ~ I might as well countdown to something else in the meantime though?? Hmmm... okay maybe my birthday.

I was surprised that I didn't see too much damage from the hurricane in Halifax, I expected most of the trees to be gone from the side streets etc. but there were huge old trees everywhere. I was so relieved ~ I thought it would look like a disaster area from the stuff they showed on the news!

I didn't get a chance to shop like I wanted, but I found a top and a pair of jeans in Moncton on the way back which I wore today ~ I love this top! the colour matches my eyes and it's really comfy but stylish. The jeans are a size too big though.

The thing I am most worried about with my surgery is what will I eat afterwards?? I mean I won't be able to EAT anything but what do they give patients like that I wonder. Maybe it's BOOST or something ~ whatever it is, I hope it's vegetarian! I will make some enquiries and maybe I can use instant breakfast instead. I drink that all the time so my stomach is used to it. I don't want to be drinking anything weird and disgusting after my surgery, they say nausea is the last thing you want b/c you can't get sick with your jaw closed shut. At least they don't wire it shut anymore, they use elastics instead.

I did see some hurricane damage at the hospital, we had to take a detour since that entrance was closed off with a big crane in front. I remember seeing on the news that a lot of the roof came off.

Oh! the maranova was kind of like I remembered although this room was more fancy with a separate room for the beds. It's a Howard Johnson's now but ppl still call it the maranova. I stayed there with my friend Heather once when we went on a little vacation trip to Halifax ~ it was so much fun! We took the ferry across and everything was in walking distance.

I had a veggie lasagna for supper ~ SOOOO good, I felt like treating myself!
