That Was Then and This Is Now It's been a while since I started this blog. A lot of things have changed. Blog Studio is no longer in business. Mac OS/9 is no longer a viable operating system for the internet. It's still one of the best operating systems ever, but now a relic from the days when the internet was free and open... I'm using OS/X now like most other Mac users and I have it running on a G5. I'm convinced that the heavy lifting in the computer industry was done over a decade ago, and there is still an aspect of it designed to exclude the underclass, but I'm still writing my blog. Congratulations on finding your way here. I'm still trying to make this a positive experience for everyone. I don't have a lot of advertising and I'm not trying to get paid for this. It's simply a way to express myself and part of my music website. Send an email if you like. I will be glad to respond. Check out the information below if you want to know where the name comes from.

 click for full size An Introduction Blueberry Union is an online journal and personal diatribe chronicling bohemian subculture in the 21st century and various anti-establishment causes. Blueberry Union was the default screen image for the Macintosh OS/9 operating system. There was also Tangerine Fusion, Grape Mission, Lime Horizon and other wild. futuristic desktop themes that were developed before Steve Wozniak was forced out of his own company. Remember, OS/9 is Apple software, OS/X is Unix. For those who couldn't afford to throw their computer away every couple of years the old iMac was a good choice. I resisted the computer revolution for as long as I could because the personal computer was originally designed for the affluent. Most of the people that I knew who possessed any real spark of creativity were so broke from pursuing their artistic ambitions that computers were not affordable. The computer revolution created the situation whereby a lot of the truly talented people out there were left behind and anyone with the money could start publishing, posting and e-mailing any kind of drivel at all. A classic example of this right now is a large internet resource that should remain nameless (Blogger) which currently follows an "upgrade or die" Policy of only allowing users with the latest software access. I had the good fortune to discover Blog Studio and I will endorse them for free. Thanks guys, Woz would be proud. Remember, the personal computer was invented by a couple of hippies in their parents' garage.
