Iraqi Prisoner Abuse

A strong leader will take actions that reflect how un-American this atrocity was.

If the abuse is proven, the US President should fire or dishonorably discharge the Secretary of Defense and every staff member down the chain to the soldiers that are proven to have abused Iraqi prisoners, including the soldiers. And include any other staff that had responsibility in this area as appropriate.

That would be the least the US President should do. It would send a strong signal to the world of how seriously the US really does take this type of behavior. Other critical actions must be taken. US leaders always describe how important it is that US soldiers get the best training and equipment available. That training must include a basic understanding of the Geneva conventions on war. It is completely unacceptable that this is not already being done.
